One of the four key areas of strategic importance for the Vermont South Community House is Community Development, which the House has defined as “helping people to work together to improve society”. The Community House holds a number of events throughout the year to help raise awareness of various issues, raise funds to support the work of other organisations such as cancer research, and to bring members of the community together.

These events are promoted throughout the Community House and the wider community as well as being publicised in Vermont South Community News, which the Community House produces and distributes to the 4,000 homes in Vermont South every month except January.
